Took a look at the car again over the weekend and I do agree that skidplates may be helpful if you're planning to traverse rock gardens.

Or just an unseen rock that has rolled out onto the service road.... I'm getting some feedback from vendors in the other thread. I'll post into there.

Next trip with the GX will be for the meteor shower.

Nice!!! Beautiful country and good times. Meteor showers out in the dark areas far from the city are awesome.

I had to go to Nevada for a day last week on Wednesday, so I made a trip out of it to Jean Lakes on my way home. Did a little shooting and playing in the dirt.

It has been awhile since I took my fiancé shooting and she actually asked me to go! So we headed to Berdoo Canyon Saturday, shot for a few hours and then headed through Geology Tour Rd and went through Joshua Tree park. It was an awesome day, we are already planning a camping trip out there in the next couple of weeks.

So then Sunday comes around and its 90 degrees outside and my truck needs a wash. I jokingly tell my buddy lets go off roading thinking he would rather go to the beach, instead he says that's a great idea. We headed up to Santiago Peak and had a great time.

Out in Berdoo Canyon again this weekend, decided to see if I could get her stuck on the rocks, some how she pulled her fat *** up without a problem.

Nice!!! Were you in 4L? I hear A-TRAC works best below roughly 2000RPM

Oh yeah! I stopped the GX in funny spot, the back wheel actually got hung up if you look at the 3rd and 4th pictures. I just gave the car enough gas for that back passenger wheel to spin a little bit, waited about 3 seconds, computer picked up on it, grabbed the brake and the driver side wheel pulled me right up and over.

For some reason I am not familiar with what you have in your hitch?

Awesome Nickk6, Looks like the hitch ball limited your departure angle quite a lot. Love the pics!

It also adds a bit of protection so that he's dragging that instead of his bumper plastic.

Need a "rock roller" on that receiver hitch. I welded boat trailers rollers to a receiver a while back, Worked great. I have seen slide in ones around Moab a bit. Not sure who makes them.

Never seen that one before. Interesting. I would like to see it work. Seems like it would just rotate up and away instead of rolling over an obstacle. A bit pricey as well.
