I have tried the 3 AVS settings on my 16 GX Luxury on various road / speed conditions and am having a hard time discerning / feeling the differences in the 3 settings.

Does it do anything with the rear air suspension? I don't think so as I think the air suspension is purely for ride height based on load (above 18 mph) and not comfort/handling.

I think AVS just tightens or softens the front sway bar response (i.e. hydraulically controlled links in lieu of the typical solid metal sway bar links).

Is this correct?

AVS doesn't do anything with the shocks, correct?

AVS typically is for the struts/shocks where the electrochemistry is altered in the hydraulic fluid. Not very noticeable tbh. KDSS is what controls lateral motion with sway bars.
High control is the air bags.
