I find the ride quality to be excellent in my new Gx460 without the air suspension. Handling is a different issue, it is a truck and handles like one as others have said, but that is not a bad thing. The ride is very smooth, and very quiet, it eats potholes and other road irregularities and is rock solid on the highway. I would see no reason to modify the suspension to improve the ride.
