LXGXSAM1,
Is the Lexus emblem on your center cap a decal?
What brand or where did u find the center cap and how did you manage
to shorten it?
Are your rims available in 24"?

Hi, The center cap is a DYI project which I pieced together since I could not find any Lexus/Toyota truck center cap that fills the gap.
The very center is a decal I found on eBay similar to the RC350 center caps

, but the top part is plastic which you could drill a hole big enough for any 2 - 2.25 inch factory/OEM Lexus center caps to lock-into. I intend to replace the decal later on with a Lexus cap.
I ordered a 4.25" diameter center cap online similar to this: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/a...6018/overview/. The bottom part is metal which is detachable from the top plastic cap.
I finally had the time this past weekend to cut the metal cylinder in half from the center with a hacksaw, then match-painted the caps with the wheels' color afterwards.
The rims were only available in 20" diameter from what the wheels shop in LA told me a while back. 'Sorry but the wheels were custom ordered from overseas but they didn't make a matching center caps.

Hi I tried searching the forums but was unable to find a clear answer on the tallest tire size that I can fit on a 2013 GX 460 I was thinking 275/65 /18 265/65 /18 or 285/65 /18 any advice would be greatly appreciated thank you very much

not recommended u do this. The driving dynamics change and put more stress on components leading to early failure - including brakes, suspension, kdss. tires are appropriately sized for the vehicle

To answer your question you can run a 275-65-18 with very minimal rubbing under full flex with only removing one bolt which willl rub. You will have no adverse handling issues and the truck will actually handle better around turns and feel more stable as long as you run a good tire. I was running Michelin LTX M/S2's and they far our performed the OEM tires. Do a search on the tire size I posted and posts by me and you will find pictures of my truck with the larger tires compared to stock tires. Many people here think stock is best, well sometimes it is, and sometimes it isn't and if you don't do it you really don't know what the outcome is. I ran those tires for 30k and sold the truck with them, never once had a problem.

Just my .02

265/65/18 is the same width as OEM but about 1" taller which will fill the wheel wells BETTER. No rubbing whatsoever. Your GX will be about 3% slower at 65 mph (most Toyota products speedo is slightly slower than the actual speed). I have done this on every trucks/SUVs is have owned when I replaced the OEM tires and have put on many miles with no issues at all.

275/65/18 is bigger and taller and like EppieGuy said it might rub somewhere.

do it at your own risk. A lot m ore is involved than just the change in speedometer/odometer and more wear and tear on components and earlier tire failure

This is a Lexus off road competent truck, not a delicate Prius. It can handle mods

Earlier tire failure?

+1

It's a Toyota body-on-frame 4WD SUV. It was made for stuff like bigger tires. Just look at t4r or other overland forums.

To play it safe (using the OEM wheels) just do the 265/65/18 so you don't have to worry about the tire being so close to the UCA. If you have aftermarket wheels with better offset (Back Space) I am sure you have NO problem running 275/65/18 since the wheels push the tire OUT further away from the UCA.
