Nice looking wheels... What SpiderTrax spacers size did you use on your GX460?

Their 1.25" hub centric 6lug. I don't believe they make many options other than black (new) or blue ano finish. I installed them two years back and they've been good. Had some on our old Sequoia, my last 100 series and currently on my wife's 15 4Runner Trail.

Thanks, that's the look I was trying for..
They are same design as stock only bigger. Got them from wheel genius - can find online or on eBay. Crazy fast shipping for free..

I was looking at the Wheel Genius wheels (and even mentioned them in the beginning of this thread) but have since found many reports online of OEM-style wheels from China having poor quality issues resulting in cracking. They will look great in person and function fine but over time will develop stress cracks in the metal possibly leading to catastrophic failure. I'm not sure where Wheel Genius sources their OEM-style wheels but I now don't think I would trust any wheels manufactured in China.

The majority or 90% of aftermarket rims are manufactured in China!
The ones made in USA does not look good and the ones from Japan
and Russia are too expensive.

I am searching for a center cap that will fit and match this color.

I have No idea who made this wheel but My setup is 285/50/20 - Pirelli Scorpion STR
I finally found the center hub that fits. I just need to paint them grey.

SurfaceGuy,

Do your 275/55/20's rub at all? I am looking to get 18's or 20's. My worry with 20's is ride quality, but if 275/55/20's will fit without rubbing at all, then you really aren't compromising much sidewall to get better looking 20's. (159mm on 265/60/18's vs 151.25mm on 275/55/20's if I am doing my math right).

i would be worried about the increase in tire size messing up everything else, including mpg, speedometer, PCS and not to mention increase wear and strain on suspension. It has been done, but just stuff to keep in mind

He's right! As for my GX, the factory tire/wheel setup was not stable on winding roads above 75mph. Before the wheel swap, I had to anticipate the kind of road in front of me and adjust the shocks firmness to the max, to feel some stability because the steering response felt just too loose/light on curvy downhills. Now with my 20" and 285 wide tires, I can keep the ride setting to the minimum (softest) and I take Tejon pass downhill like how I drive my GS on the same road, but with my GX without that tippy kind of scary feeling going down at 80mph.

Just curious, did you maintain your overall diameter or did it actually go up with the increase to 20's?

As of right now, I'm leaning towards 20's. For those that have them, do 285/50/20's fit under the vehicle okay (spare tire)?

What are your thoughts on tires?

Would A/T tires be too harsh (Nitto Terra Grappler G2)?

Default Update with pics for the GX with BFG KO2/XD wheels:

I took the plunge and replaced the stock mini van wheels and Duelers with XD satin black wheels/chrome milling and BFG KO2's 285/60/18's.

Absolutely love them.

I get some rub when I'm braking into corners/turns at speed (especially gong up a driveway/embankment). It's coming from the rear screws from the front wheel well. The solution I think is to go to auto zone and find some flat head screws to replace them.

Look good & glad to hear you like them. I saw this thread because I'm putting Ko2's on my '07 GX next weekend and the reviews I've seen look great. Now looking to see what Lexus owners think of them...
