Picked up my new 2016 GX 460 this week
I like some others on here traded in a 4Runner for my new ride. Absolutely loved the 4Runner, but it was time. 2006 Sport with V8 and 139K miles. I live in Oklahoma City but bought at Park Place Lexus- Plano, TX and must say it was the best vehicle buying experience I have ever had. Park Place exemplified exceeding customer expectations, and then some.
Picked up the Nebula Gray, Sepia interior, Premium trim and just about every option available this week.
The one thing I did that I love was add the black chrome wheels.
Really looks good with the gray exterior. The one thing I really don't like, but had to accept, is the barn door. A real PITA, especially coming from the 4Runner and before that a Land Cruiser.
One of the members posted about being able to "get a pretty penny" for his 2006 V-8 4Runner- he is right. Park Place has mine on their lot for $13,900. That's half of sticker after 10years!

Congrats! Hopefully you'll get used to the barn door. Some cursewords in pouring down rain while unloading or loading is expected

I paid almost $40k for my 2006 4Runner V8 Limited 4WD with every option on it except the rear spoiler. So $28k for the 2WD Sport sounds about right if it was not loaded down with many extras (or OP got a killer deal).

Yeah, you need Sun light to show the beautiful paint of Lexus.
I thought that all tiers would be Michelin.
"barn door" is no big deal for me, it just opens to the wrong side.
