New member here. After many years as a loyal Toyota owner I'm ready to replace my wife's Land Cruiser with a GX. I put my deposit down on a 2015 not realizing the 2016's will roll out soon and it looks like it is identical to the 2015. I want a BOF truck and initially it looks like there was a lot of misinformation about a major update to the '16 possibly even unibody. I wanted to confirm there was no change to the '16 and if not would you guys wait a short time to pick that one up instead?
Thanks

There's essentially no change between the two year models so in that sense it really doesn't matter. However, unless you got a great deal on the 2015 or unless there's a penalty for canceling that and moving your deposit to a 2016, I would go ahead and go with the 2016 myself. While there's virtually no difference, you have a car that's one model year newer which can mean thousands of dollars difference in resale value down the road.

All that being said, I actually bought a 2015 this past Saturday myself but that was entirely due to the ridiculous deal I was able to get on it. If you're special ordering something or going to have to pay near full MSRP anyways, see if you can get them to move you to the 2016.

Westtx28, I'm in the same situation as you, do I get a 2015 or 2016? I compared the 2015 to the 2016 that's now on the website and the only difference I found was that the Lexus Enform remote app now works with the 2016 GX. This is different from the RES capability available on the 2015, at least how I understand it. While I want a BOF SUV, I don't absolutely need one now; and it's tough to find a Luxury model with the driver support package this late in the model year.

You can see how much 2016 MY now

CAD just lost too much value in a year

Don't think the price went by 10K but rather the base package is no longer offered. MY2016 is MY2015 premium only.
