Default Purchasing a GX 460 for Wife

Good afternoon,
I am about to purchase my wife a GX 460. We are buying a 2012 CPO with 45K. She drives about 200 miles a week, so we will have it under warranty for 3 years...which is better than most cars. My question is the normal maintenance associated with a 4WD vehicle. It seems a lot heavier. Will the wear and tear over the next 5 years be very costly. Break Pads? Replacing items that normally wear out on a car up to 100K miles?

This forum section is for the 2003-2009 GX470. You need to post this in the 2010+ GX460 section.

There are more moving parts, and so yes, there are more fluids to change. But it's not any worse than getting a RX with all wheel drive, and the GX is far more capable. Plus, IMO, the GX has a better ride than the RX.

Service at your Lexus dealer will be expensive (it is a luxury vehicle, after all). But for routine stuff, you can take it to any Toyota dealer, as there's a large degree of parts commonality. You just won't get the free coffee and gourmet breakfast muffins.

I agree with Chiph9.
I use a Japanese specialist shop instead of any dealer to save $.
I get a vending machine
