Default 2014 GX Premium

OK So I am trading in my 2003 GX470, 135000 miles, for a 2014 GX 460 Premium. Got what I considered a good deal more on that later, since I am picking it up tomorrow from stock.

They of course are pushing the different warranties, what are people paying for the Platinum?
They want $2,800 for 7yr/100,000 miles.

They did not offer a discount on it and do I need to take it now or can I take it a later when I close to the regular warranty being up.

The other one is the Environmental Protection Plus, teflon based sealer, which sounds like the paint protection. Don't think I would need it but this will be my first black car., they want $800 for this.

I'd decline thier warranty offer, I was just quoted from the dealer $2,400.00 for a 100K warranty on my 2010 GS and I'm at 46K now on the odometer.

The paint sealant is a profit center for the dealership. I would decline both that and the extended warranty from the dealer. You can purchase the same warranty cheaper. Check both of these people for the exact same warranty. Congratulations on your new vehicle, I really like mine.

On Tuesday I was faced with the same decisions and opted for the 3M clear cover and dent/ding protection. I made it known to the finance manager that I knew his offerings were profit margins for the dealership. However, since I will NEVER buy a vehicle without dent/ding protection I would only purchase for a GREAT price. Yes I hate door dings that much - I like the piece of mind even if I never use it. He ended up giving me both at near cost.

Just pick up today base + premium package and it is different with GX460 Premium on website that's including wood steering wheel shift ****.
I have to ordered and paid as a separate option.
TDA = LDA = 736 FYI
They are offering 7 years for 2650 and I said NO. And others quotes warranty.
After more than 5 months of waiting here are some pix.

I know what you mean about dings, I park away from other vehicles, usually far away or an
end spot.

I never buy the add on stuff. I buy the extended warranty right before the factory one is up from a dealer listed above for a good discount and I go straight to the dealers ding and wheel guy for any issues there. To fix a wheel is $100 a wheel and dings are usually $100 a side even if multiple dings and both come straight to my house to do it. Personally I only buy the vehicle, nothing else.

Was sitting in my 470 years back and a lady wholloped it with her door. I jump out to find nothing. Hope the 460 stands up the same. 4runner and FJ metal would have dented for sure.

Guys, I switched to the GX after my nightmare experience with an Audi. I never even considered the extended warranty. Given the presumably high build quality, what are the odds the extended warranty will pay off?

I wouldn't be so happy with those tires as I just took mine off because I disliked them so much and I agree, thats a ton of wheel weights, shows it's not a good tire.

Agreed. Not that I am not happy with the factory Michelins for the ride but I dislike them because they wear out so fast.
