Changing Colors
I aticipate buying a 2014 before my Four Year Warantee runs out. I now have a 2010 Tungsten Pearl. I like the color, but I think I should change. What have others done in my situation ??

If all you're looking for is a color change, why don't you wrap your GX? It will run you $2k, and you can choose any color you want with the bonus of protecting the paint. I have a friend with a media company that wraps cars, and he tells me the most popular customer profile is the guy with luxury vehicle or high end sports car wrapping it the exact same color as the factory color, only to protect the paint.

Yep, wrapping is your best chance. No paint job is ever as good as factory. The 3M vinyl wraps looks absolutely beautiful, and you basically have brand new paint years later when you take off the wrap.

Yeah, the "Claret Mica" (reddish purple) is my absolute favorite. Such a cool color. If I didn't buy mind used I would have bought it in that.

I had the Tungsten Pearl/ black on my 2010 and ordered the same color on my 2014. The only other color I would have gone with, would have been black/black, but it's too hard to keep clean and looking good all the time.

I personally love the white (both of mine have been white, Blizzard Pearl and Starfire Pearl). A lot of people that are not into cars did not even know I got a new one. Very easy to keep clean and hides most swirl marks. In the sun it looks great, the depth of the paint is amazing. The white with black pearl badges looks very sharp! My wife loves black and so I am stuck keeping one black car clean...I will never do black for myself, way too much work for the 5-10 minutes it looks clean after you wash it. The red (claret mica) looks very nice, I am tempted to look at that color for a change the next time. I had one red car a long time ago, it did show most of the swirls and small scratches/nicks but it was not a pearl or metallic color so I am not sure how the Lexus red would be to keep clean.
