Hey folks, I am looking to buy a used 2015-2017 GX460 for family trips, camping, and some overlanding. Right off the bat, I want to get 17" wheels wrapped with BFG K02, metal tech sliders and a roof rack, eventually a suspension upgrade and 2inch lift max. Can you guys shed some light on which model should I buy? Im researching and I noticed the different options Base, Luxury and premium, Im not too concerned about the wood trims and electric folding third row, more inclined into off road, trips, small projects and doing much of the maintenance my self. I thought of getting a 4runner offroad, but I like the body in the lexus a lot, and the V8 engine. I would really appreciate your feedback

Some premium options can make suspension mods more involved. Look at the write ups on the mods you are considering.

If you're going to mod suspension, from what I understand you want to avoid the rear air suspension, which I believe is only on the Luxury model 2014+, or premium 2010-2013.

If you do add a lift to to a AVS/RAHC model be sure to follow this or you will get some dash errors.
