Default Center console gap

I was poking around the center console and noticed that there seems to be a pretty big gap difference where the console meets the dashboard than I would expect on a Lexus:

So how does it look on yours? Are yours even on both sides?

Mine doesn't have as large of gaps and my drivers side has a larger gap than the passenger side.

Yikes! That is pure mid-90s GM/Dodge style... Hope the fixed things like this on the 2014+.......

Let's see what other members say. So far it seems like no one has ever looked down there ;-)

I looked and there is no gap on either side.

Well if you zoom on the 14 picture I think there is a gap too though shadow makes it hard to see whether it is even or not but it's there!

I think getting it perfectly aligned on every assembly is impossible by design. On one hand you have NAV and DVD panels which are aligned perfectly and if you push on the "pillar" to close the console gap you open the gap between NAV and DVD panels! The center console itself is a huge separate unit and I don't see it aligning perfectly with the dash (another huge separate unit) every time.

I DON'T have a Gap. All I have is a Joint. Your dealer should take care of it.

And so far you're the only one who reported not having a gap.

I have the gaps and they are even on both sides. I never would have noticed if you hadn't pointed it out since it is mostly covered. It really doesn't bother me at all.

Thank you. I'm gravitating towards a non issue here. Or at least not worth letting the dealer to take the center console apart on top of thinking I'm crazy

Now the front passenger seat rattle - that I told them about and they are going to take a look, we'll see what they say.
