Wind noise on Prinsu? Would LX 570 Thule “feet” work?
New to this forum, I’m working thru this rack issue.
I like the look of the prinsu, please update on wind noise.
im wondering if the flush rails are the same as on the new lx 570—-Thule has a fit kit for that model. Looks pretty much the same as gx rails. Anyone know for certain? I have aero bars off my old truck just need new feet to make them work!
Great info on here, thanks

How do the factory bars attach to the rails?
I have factory bars on order, and have an old full length Sportrack basket that I will likely use from time to time.
This one, more or less

Here are the installation instructions. They show how they attach.

It's very easy to do. The front and back bars are different length so make sure you have them correctly before install.
Just line it up and tighten the torx screws.

Maybe see if this vendor can still get one?
https://aventuron.com/products/prins...gx460-roofrack
I emailed Prinsu as well to find out if permanently discontinued. Looks like might have gone off website around 11/2.

Vendor above claims they can either obtain or have the Prinsu in-stock.

Rhino rack pioneer platform installed
Ordered a rhino rack pioneer platform with the individual attachments (non backbone)
rob at rhino rack was helpful with a few questions
only thing I’d like to add is rubber gutter striping fill. It only comes stock with the rubber on from the front and back of the rails so the middle is empty for now. Going to look into Toyota Prado (possibly cheaper parts) for rubber mount or figure something generic out. Don’t want a lake forming on my roof
the backbone would fill the entire rail from my understanding but I didn’t love the look of the circle holes. Not for the GX in my opinion (or for a more off road setup) and the 3 attachments on each side look and function well for me
This should function nicely to overland to Starbucks
I would highly recommend it so far, time for attachments and testing packing and using. Awning would be a nice start
heres a visual, hard to argue with this over a TRD pro 4Runner

That is one nice looking rig. Your paint finish looks great from these photos. Do you use ceramic or anything special in the way of wax?
Also, how about wind noise with your rack?

I can’t take credit for the paint, it’s brand new. Assembled and built September 2018, it’s a 2019 I bought December 1 so it’s still fresh
the wind noise isn’t too terrible. When the sunroof is open it is louder, nothing music can’t fix and doesn’t kill conversation. Also noticed it directs some air down into the cabin versus before you felt nothing with it opened
when the sunroof is closed it hardly noticeable around town, but more noticeably at freeway speeds. Again not awful in my opinion. You will definitely experience wind noise but nothing I didn’t expect or am disappointed by. It hangs over a little more than half of the sunroof but still plenty of light and open air enjoyment coming through.
