I put the EBC slotted rotors and 7000 green pads on the front of my 2011 GX at about 30,000 miles. In the back I installed just the green pads. I was having the warped rotor shimmy from my stock rotors.
I think they perform great. They have zero runout and after an upgrade to the LTX tires with road force balance everything is smooth as can be.

I just had my rear brake pads replaced at the dealer at 43,000 miles. Front pads are still good. Wonder why the rear pads wore out first. In the past, the front brakes would always wear out first.

Thanks, everyone. I went with Koz's setup (Premium Dimpled and Slotted Brake Rotors with ceramic pads). I like the way they look and was priced about right. By the way, I have also experienced the steering wheel shimmering between 60-80 mph, but mostly during deceleration when letting off the gas pedal and/or depressing the brake pedal. Acceleration is fine. I did not noticed the vehicle shaking, it was mostly the steering wheel and what felt like the front wheels during deceleration. The vehicle also veers to the left as well if I let go of the steering wheel. I will be getting an alignment and wheel balance this week. Hopefully that, and the new set of rotors + pads, will solve it. By the way, the truck is pretty damn fast to 80 and 90. Well, anything is fast compared to my last vehicle (2010 Prius). My fastest in the GX thus far is ~104. Didn't want to push it too much. I know it's not a high performance suv, but that was the only way to test out certain areas (NVH -noise, vibrations, harshness).

My new rotors came today and one of them appears to have been chipped during the manufacturing process. There are bigger holes on cross-drilled rotors. I know this is a slight imperfection and don't particularly think it's a big deal since it's very small and on the inside, but would welcome your opinion on the subject matter.

I chose these pads. They're the same ones that Koz purchased back on page 4. I've haven't installed them yet, but will as soon as I upgrade my tires to the LTX. The rotors came with free pads as well, but knowing that they were free, they can't be that good.
Just replaced the front rotors and pads (ceramic) about 1 week ago. The first couple of stops, I felt the pads biting really hard; you can really hear and feel the clamping of the pads to the rotors. However, after a few stops, and having everything settled into place, it works much better now. Stops are smoother and more predictable. Don't get me wrong, they still work really well. And yes, as of this post, better than stock.
Cool, just keep an eye on the pad wear. I was told my slotted rotors on my MDX could not be turned. One day I heard the grind of metal on metal, had to trash them
Mine were Cryogenically treated, not sure if those are?
I had Cryo rotors on my 98 4Runner and they last about 10k before I felt a difference in their performance. I would also hear the metal on metal sound when attempting to parallel park. So, never again. The current ones on my GX are not Cryos, but they are Zinc coated for rust protection. Only time will tell how long these lasts. My base GX is close to 5k lbs whereas the 4Runner was about 3500 lbs.
Has anyone installed the LTX M/S2 275 tire underneath the car? I am purchasing five tires and I would like to know if the larger 275 tire will fit in the spare carrier underneath the Lexus GX 460?
I don't know about installing 275s since they might rub, but I just replaced the stock Latitude Tours with 265/60/R18 Michelin LTX M/S 2s yesterday after reading soo much about them. First off, I noticed a difference immediately after the install. The vehicle feels more planted, more sure-footed, but also with more rolling resistance -could affect gas mileage. I had the opportunity to push the vehicle slightly pass 90 on the highway and it still felt very stable, with no vibrations, even after letting my foot off the accelerator. Breaking feels slightly quicker as well, again, it could be because of the higher rolling resistance, or because it's still a new tire. But overall, I am very happy with my purchase thus far.

Just realized that there are little Michelin men on the tires.
i am not a fan of my duelers, but they are in fact riding very good for now believe it or not. I must say though its been dry here in PA atleast since i bot the gx. On dry roads, very quiet and no issues, no vibration nothing on highway.
Will be getting michelins at some point
11GX460, where did you get your tires, tirerack?
I was about to purchase them from TireRack, but ended up getting it from a tire shop about 20 miles away from my home (NYC). It was quicker, and I did not have to pay for the shipping and handling. Total cost out the door for me was $840 for 4 tires, including mounting, balancing, etc. Michelin is currently offering a $70 rebate, via Mastercard Reward Card, with the purchase of 4 tires. Offer ends 9/21/14. The Bridgestones aren't bad, but the wear rating is only 300 on them, the Latitudes are 440, whereas, the LTXs are 720. They'll last much longer, and that is definitely welcomed on a heavy truck.
