LT Tires on GX460

I'm a little late posting on this, but I did it and I'm super happy with the result. I laughed when they rolled it out of the Discount Tire shop. It looks so much better! I still have some rubbing, but I think it's all plastic. I don't think it's hitting the body mount. I'm pretty sure this is about as big as you can go without a lift. Someday I'll put a GoPro on it and watch to see if it hits the body mount. This is a 275/70/17 BFG KO2 on the Method wheels with 0 offset.
Before
After
There's a lift in my future, but it might have to wait a while. A roof rack will be next. Thinking about taking the running boards off. I hear there's an aftermarket part that finishes off under the doors, so you're not looking at the raw body underneath. That should fix the rubbing too. I have some more pics of how close the tires are to hitting with it sitting in the garage. It was about a finger's width before I took the heat gun to it.

Thanks!
They are Method MR306 MESH from Discount Tire. They're still available. I just checked on a spare. I just left the stock one under there. I've read that this size won't fit underneath. I'm thinking I'll buy complete spare anyway and maybe do a the hitch mount for it. A full bumper mount isn't happening soon.
They're very flush with the fender. It looks great. I had to keep working on cutting and heating to get the tires to stop rubbing. I finally took the running boards off. No lift yet, but have a rack and tent now.

Here's my car commercial picture with the Tetons in the background. Shows the Ironman rack and tent. It's sitting pretty low in the back, due to the trailer.
You can kind of see where the rear tire lines up with the fender.
Here it is without the running boards. Kinda dirty too. Really needs that lift.

replacement tires
Hey All,
New to the forum with a used 2018 gx. We spend considerable time on gravel roads and snow to get to an off grid cabin; I have changed tires more than I care to admit on the road. I was looking for tire advice, but was leaning towards Firestone A/T2 as i have had tremendous success with those on my 04 Tundra.
Thanks
Chris
