"Oil Maintenance Required Soon" Warning
Today is November 1, 2012 and our early-production 2010 GX 460 is officially three years old. The build date on the "B Pillar" is November 2009. Right on schedule, it reminded us that oil maintenance is required… how convenient ... and on its birthday!
As you can tell by the mileage, we must service our vehicle by the calendar rather than by the odometer as we are accumulating less than 9,000 miles per year. A complete service is scheduled for later this month, which will include oil and filter change, tire rotation and a full detailing. immediately after the service we will depart for a long road trip to Florida, which will set us up for a minor service next Spring.
Regards,
SaniDel

I was able to answer my own question by reading the details about your vehicle. Your vehicle "Date of First Use" (DOFU) was July 26, 2010 so with only 14,000 miles, your GX is averaging approximately 6,000 miles per year, which is much less than typical usage. So, you also are servicing by the calendar rather than by the odometer, right?
Your third service will be in July 2013, which is the third anniversary of your DOFU. Mine will be this month ... it's scheduled for the 19th. With these long service intervals it is all the more important to have reliable records, which is why I leave this infrequent, but critical service procedure to the dealer!
