Congrats Greysmoke and welcome to CL. Ecru can be a pain to keep clean. One thing I recommend for you is to clean and scotch guard the seatbelt straps. My used GX (Ecru) were filthy and I was only able to clean them so much.
With this being your first Lexus "after a long line of trucks" your input and comparison thoughts would be appreciated. Hope you enjoy your new ride

Today my garage and driveway has a Ford Expedition we’ve had for 16 years plus two Wranglers that are welcome to stay as long as they’d like. The GX460 is vastly more comfortable than anything we’ve owned, but it’s still noticeably a truck. And that’s a great thing in my book. So far do good.
Ours is Lexus Certified with warranty coverage for the next eight years, which I’m sure is overkill.

New family whip!
Hi all! Not new to Lexus but new to the GX family. Bought a Nebula 17' and put on the F-Sport wheels almost a year ago for the 3rd row after out growing our RX. Loved it but after about 3 months Lexus had to add the Captains chairs which I wished they would have had form the beginning. So, we traded it in for a 17' Star Fire Pearl Sport with Captains chairs and way better at 3rd access now. So far just matched the front window tint to the rear. Now after 8 months we really do love this vehicle!

New owner of of 2011!
New owner here of a 2011, black on black with 104K. Any advice would be appreciated. Everything seems good just need new tires and an oil change. I know I can find info on here but is a GPS update really this hard and/or expensive? Geeze!

GPS is painful in these cars.... Most people prefer their smart phones. Any service history? We just got our 2012 with similar mileage...currently doing drive train fluids, just did spark plugs, and still need to do the brake fluid.

Congrats. Unfortunately GPS update is dealer only. Full info here
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gx-...re-update.html
It cost me $240 at dealer.

Yes, it's had all the majors done at the local dealer here. Not sure when those fluids are done, 75K maybe? I have a ProClip for my Iphone and use Waze. Proclips are very nice and omit a suction cup, yuk.

The White in Sport package with FSport wheels looks great.

2nd GX for me
I have a 2011 GX 460 purchased about two years ago, silver with black interior, premium with navigation and DVD. Traded in a 2006 GX. The 2011 has a nicer ride in my opinion but it might just be the "new" car smell. Just had the airbags replaced under warranty.

Greeting to fellow GXers!
New owner here. Traded in my 2017 GX Premium Mica Claret/ Sepia for 2018 Luxury GX Starfire Pearl/ Sepia. Financially, it doesn't make any sense to trade a 3 months old car for almost exactly the same car with the exception of AVS a few minor details LOL. However, we love it with the 18 GX Lux!!! We don't have to deal with a compromised ride any more ( see my other thread on 'feedback for adjustable air suspension' for details.

My new GX is here !!!!! 425 p/m with 1500 due at signing includes wear and tear for 27 months and 12k miles. I love the car but love the deal even more. It's a 2018 if that makes a difference. Has Captains chairs and ecru interior.

2017 gx460
Hi Everyone! I just traded in my 2013 RX350 for a 2017 GX460. I LOVE it!! I loved my RX but this is such a great car!! It is starfire pearl with bench seating. I considered the captains chairs, but since I have 2 carseats I needed the extra seat...I do wish the 3rd row had 3 seats instead of 2 and then I would have loved the captians chairs. But overall totally loving the new car!

Navigation while driving?
Does anyone know if there is a kit to be able to use the navigation while driving? I bought one for my RX350, but I haven't seen one for the GX yet. It comes in handy when I am a passenger.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Do you have any interior pics with the captain chairs?

New to Club Lexus
Hi All,
I have a 2015 Lexus GX 460 base package w Nav upgrades and tow package 4x4. I want to know if anyone else has had tires go bald at 25k and then rear brakes need replacement at 33k? I have had 12 new cars and have never had to replace tires or brakes at such an early interval? The dealer said this is normal for city driving (Houston) however I have had a Tourareg, Accord, Explorer in the last 12 years and never had these issues and all cars were new and driven in houston!! Just wondering what the group is experiencing. Thanks
