Dashboard Whine Fix
I've only used this forum for a very short time but a reach out is necessary . We purchased a 2013 in June, I'm hard of hearing but noticed a low high pitched whine in the dash. Someone mentioned that maybe the third seat wasn't reclined properly. After figuring out how to remove the canopy cover I raised the third seat and lowered it. Guess what? the dashboard whine is gone. I will be indebtited to this site forever. Thank You

I can't believe it was that easy a fix. I work in the industry representing a third party service contract provider. I peruse technical service bulletins all day long. In my wildest dreams I never thought this would work. Thanks again for the heads up

now that it's fixed, I love this vehicle. I've owned three Tundras since they were introduced in 2000, loved them all, purchased this hoping for the same reliability, all had 200.000+ on them (new models are too big).

2012 GX460 Premium package Starfire Pearl. Tan interior with ML & rear seat entertainment. 58K miles. The vehicle is still on the transport on its way to us. It will be used as the wife's vehicle & to take the boat to the lake. Looking forward to more space than the IS350 for road trips.

Congrats! I also just picked up a 2017 GX Premium in Silver Lining yesterday, Sepia interior. Also wood trim and other packages. I just got the garage door programmed and don't even know what to do next there is so much! Love it! This is my 4th Lexus. Traded a 2010 RX350 with 98,000 miles. They told me about the XPEL at the dealership and said I'd think about it. Discovered when I got home that it was already on the front hood, doors and mirrors.

Back with Lexus. It's my 3rd one, 1st Lexus truck with the 2017 GX 460 Luxury, starfire pearl on Ecru. Couldn't say no to the almost $11k discount.
I was pushing the dealership to sell me their 2017 LX instead if they gave me a $20+k discount lol so i can end up with a $1200/mo payment but I knew it was just a dream. Maybe in the future.

Congrats Greysmoke and welcome to CL. Ecru can be a pain to keep clean. One thing I recommend for you is to clean and scotch guard the seatbelt straps. My used GX (Ecru) were filthy and I was only able to clean them so much.
With this being your first Lexus "after a long line of trucks" your input and comparison thoughts would be appreciated. Hope you enjoy your new ride
