Default 17 gx460

Turned in my 2014 Audi S4 for a 17 GX460 Premium Nebula Grey Pearl with Black leather.

Totally different direction, but growing family calls for different transportation. My first car was a Lexus IS300 more than 15 years ago. Since then, I have been all german...it feels good to get back into a Lexus as well as something that can handle some off roading. Looking forward to chatting with you guys.

Very nice! Little slower to 60 than an S4 but you can't beat reliability and comfort.

Traded in my 2014 Acura MDX for a 10 months old 16 GX460 Premium Nebula Grey Pearl with Black leather... Happy with it.. MDX was good but felt like I'm driving a sedan in SUV body\seat position.. Great mileage though.. I used to get 27-30 MPG HWY on trips (Min 300 Miles).

Lexus is more luxurious .. Love how it drives.. Planning for a 2000+ miles trip soon.

As I'm new to Lexus family.. Any suggestions for my trip???....

Congrats!
If it hasn't done so or close to it, change oil before the trip. Reset the average and see what's MPG you would get. The center console storage area is nice, really nice for stocking up with your favorite snacks, jerky etc... if you have kids and don't have all-weather mats, get them before the trip.

Other than that, enjoy it and take pictures to post back,

Default Hello from Maryland!

First off - Thank you to everyone on the forum! The guidance and tips everyone provided certainly came in handy while shopping for my GX460. Originally negotiated on a 2017 but a few days before closing the deal a cherry certified 2014 Luxury was turned in off of lease with only 18k on the odo. Thanks to the forum I was able to confirm that the infamous "leaning" issue was addressed and the unlimited mile certified warranty gave me some extra peace of mind. Intending on driving for a bit before any mods but if anyone is thinking about selling a black Cargo/Tonneau cover please shoot me a PM.

That's my plan, so I also purchased the extra 5yr unlimited mile certified warranty. I figured since it is transferable it will add to the resale value if I choose to move on but there is nothing else on the road right now quite like it (in my opinion). I know based on forum posts most members probably think the extended warranty is not needed but once I saw the dates written on paper $3k seemed like a steal to extend the unlimited mileage warranty until April of 2025!

Yeah.. that is a pretty significant piece of mind on that warranty. On off-road...I agree and aside from LX/Land Cruiser... Audi & BMW really doesn't have anything comparable and you would have to look at a G class Mercedes for similar capabilities and comfort..+ a lot more $$$. Always Land Rover and I know extremely capable but with that reliability question mark why bother if you are on anything but a lease.

Hello all,
New to the forum as a member.

2015 GX 460 Luxury with Mark Levinson sound. Nebula Grey with black interior. Fully loaded except the 2nd row DVD system, didn't want the kids to fight over which movie to watch. besides, they all have phones to keep busy.

This is our 3rd GX. Our '04 GX 470 had to go due to a burst coolant hose on the freeway, after the repair still wasn't the same. Before that, it was 200,000 miles of worry free driving pleasure.

The 2nd '15 GX was totaled a month after purchase. Some jassack rear ended me so hard, the frame bent and the floor under the rear seats buckled. I was able to walk away with only a stiff neck.
We really appreciated how well the truck held together even after the hit and how it protected me. We used the insurance new car replacement fund to purchase our current GX with exactly the same color, trim level and packages, like nothing ever happened except a 2nd set of carpets/cargo mat and hitch pulled from the old car.

Good to hear you got out of that relatively unscathed and a testament to the safety of these vehicles.

Default Finally arrived

My standard '17 with almost every upgrade possible (because of personal preference regarding trim and 2nd row bench)

Hello all,
I am a new member to the forum as my wife and I recently purchased a 2011 GX460 Base model with 59K miles and a clean Carfax.
The exterior is Satin Cashmere metallic while the interior leather/trim is Sepia.
The vehicle does have navigation but only the standard sound system.

My wife will be the primary driver of the vehicle. She was previously driving a 2010 RX 450h, which was our first Lexus. The rest of our vehicles either have been or currently are in the Toyota family.
I already have learned quite a bit in the short time reading this forum and look forward to continued learning and experience sharing.
