Didn't get the pix in the first post. So I'll try again.
2017 Luxury
Pearl white with the Ecru (White) interior
Wife wanted a red bow, so that's on the windshield.
I think we will really like this car. I think it will really fit what we are looking for. I'm sure I will break some plastic, but that just means I need to get the welder out and fab some rock sliders etc. I am mostly concerned about the gas tank first.

Unless your Grand Cherokee was modified, I don't see why the GX 460 wouldn't be nearly as "capable" as a Grand Cherokee, aside from maybe approach/breakover/departure angles.

Mostly yes. It's a bit bigger, so not as nimble, and has less suspension travel. IFS just doesn't flex as much. But I think it will be adequate for our needs. My niece has a 4 runner TRD pro. The GC stock will out do it, even without lockers. Just keeps the tires on the ground longer with more suspension travel. The TRD pro needs the locker in the rear end to keep up.
Both are running similar tires and similar sized tires.

After a few weeks of searching after my Pathfinder was total, I finally found a 2010 Premium version with only 37k miles. The last owner pretty much parked it last year because of the airbag recall. Total miles driven since 2015 is around 4000.

Tungsten Pearl with black interior. First choice was White.
First mod was chaging all interior lights to LED and second will be the second air pump external filter. This is my first Lexus and am looking forward to many years of reliability and learn from the forum.

Hello, I just bought the GX 460 2015 Premium. I've been a long time 4runner owner (3 previous), now I'm converted its cousin!

My second day and we have a Nor'easter blazing outside (North of Boston, MA). The GX rides great and does well in the snow.

Just looking into modifications and surfing the Club Lexus site for ideas. Here's my start list: (1) LED interior and back up lights; (2) Husky mats; (3) ??

Best, Jim

Default My First Lexus!

Hello!

My my hubby and I just purchased our first Lexus!!!
I have always been a Honda gal but after a lot of research we bought a 2014 GX 460

It is White/Ecru and I believe it's the premium model. Wheels are different than the base model and other added goodies! We just bought it last Monday and still getting to know the car but so far we are so impressed with how it drives!

Default 2013 gx 460

Hi everyone. Bought my wife a GX about a month ago. Black/black, base model with 39k miles. We used to drive a Xterra Off Road and we're extremely happy with the 460.

Wow, many new owners here recently. Congrats to all. Let's keep this forum active. Please ask questions and give advise, even if you think they are trivial

I feel the need to do some custom work. So ours it the Pearl white, it just seems so plain. So the wife gave me permission to a little "dressing" up. I will take it to a pinstriper I know. WE don't want anything wild. It still needs to be pretty conservative, and elegant. But I want to set it off a little. You know, set off the lines, bring out the beast a little. Anyone done this? Picture please. So far I'm at a bit a of a loss as to where to begin. I will want a line to accent the window, from rear to front. But after that, no ideas.

The last time (only time) I've ever done any pinstripe on a car was my 1984 Honda Prelude LOL...it was needed back in early 90's haha.
I like the really clean look of the GX and I think Pearl White is the best and most elegant color (my #1 choice). I wouldn't mess it up but if you do it, I'd love to see some pictures. It could come out looking awesome

Default Howdy... new to me... but bought used '12 460 Premium

Hello everyone...

I picked up a used '12 460 Premium with 35K miles last weekend. Exactly the vehicle I wanted to replace an old beater I have. I intend to tow under 5K lbs and this will do some degree of off-roading. My vacation home is a snowbound cabin during the winter so that will be one area I push it. Not a fully loaded premium but it has ML, Intuitive Park and air suspension. I tried to find one with "PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM WITH DRIVER ATTENTION MONITOR PACKAGE" and "WIDE-VIEW FRONT AND SIDE MONITOR SYSTEM/PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM (PCS) WITH DRIVER ATTENTION MONITOR PACKAGE" but those seem to be a rare bird. It seems the approach/departure angle is somewhat better on the '10-'13 so that is why I targeted those years.

• First Lexus
• Replacing a beater '96 Explorer 5.0L V8 AWD I bought new
• Other vehicles '07 G35x / '15 CX-5 GT AWD / '00 Wrangler 4.0L

I picked up one with adjustable/rear air suspension since I plan to tow. It's also in that Fire Agate Pearl color w/(black interior). I wasn't sure about color but once I saw in person I really liked it. I assume this is one of the rarer exterior colors... at least here in the NW US (Washington state).

The body on frame, seemingly bulletproof drivetrain and very acceptable MPG I saw were all wins. I do feel this is an under-appreciated vehicle here in the US.

I self maintain anything on a vehicle outside of warranty claims and it appears this site has lots of good info.

Regards

Thanks! Actually had around 34,800 miles when I purchased. The low mileage, single owner and clean reports were definitely an allure. I even extensively crawled underneath to check for leaks just in case. :-)

I plan to run this one a long..... time. I keep my rigs a minimum of 10-15 years.
