Just bought a 2014 GX460, in white with black leather premium model. I use to drive a 2002 GMC Yukon XLT and what a huge difference!!
I love my GX and am looking forward to using to pull the boat here in South Florida. I'm looking forward to learning more about what the GX can do and how to improve what I have.
Thanks!

new owner checking in.
Wife and I just purchased a CPO 2011 GX460 Base with 38K miles, we live in Maryland near Delaware. Our plans are to take some long road trips, wife will commute once a week or so (125 mile round trip), and to occasionally tow a light trailer etc. On the way home from the selling Lexus dealer in Pennsylvania, the MPG readout averaged was 23mpg (55-65mph), we hope to continue with similar mileage in the future. I want to thank all the members here who have posted helpful post over the years, I do look forward to reading the post and being a member here.

Pole Position
New GX460
Well we brought it home a couple days ago. 2017 Luxury in Pearl White. We are generally not new car buyers, but getting to the age where not crawling under the old car makes sense. WE sure got tired of looking at all the "glorified" mini vans on the market. We really wanted the Range Rover, but just scared of the maint. Who knows they may be getting better, but still needed something capable of back country fishing trips, but a luxo ride on the highway. The 4 Runner was pretty gutless at our alititude, so the next choice was the GX. I probably would have bought the LX or Land cruiser, but my wife didn't want it that big. I think it will be a good choice for us. I have put a few rock dents in the skid plates and rockers on our Grand Cherokee over the years, and expect no different from this. I know and don't expect it to be nearly as capable as the old Grand Cherokee, but the trade off will be much better on the highway. I have already noticed that it is much more stable at highway speeds. It carries it's weight better and when loaded down is much more stable. Sure is nicely appointed, but so much gee wiz stuff. Will take a while to figure out all the automatic stuff. So far it has ~500 miles on it. It got clear bra on the front and head lights right off, and will visit the pinstriper in a week or so. It just needs something to set off the lines, nothing too wild, just something tasteful. Then figure out a skid plate for the gas tank. Anyway getting to know the new ride. It will be the wife's grocery getter mostly, but we use our 4x4's so I'm sure some plastic repair will be on order.
