I wouldn't buy a BMW, even with a warranty. It's just not worth the hassle. LOL about the BMW X5 battery story. You just can't make this stuff up!

I saw a new GX460 in the showroom and it was nice. I would definitely love to own one. However, I do feel that, compared to my '05 GX, the distinctive styling is gone on the new one. Also, I paid $47K for my fully loaded new '05 in '05 and just can't believe the price tag on the premium GX460! Ouch!

Hey all i'm new to this board i was curious to see what other people thought of their GX's. I am not too happy what i see about the new one. I just bought mine fully loaded last week and I LOVE IT...I paid cash so i got a whole lot of extras plus free service for 5 years chrome wheels and 2 sets of tires at no charge! I got the Navigational/ Mark Levinson Audio Package with the DVD/CD ... Intuitive park assist, Dual Scree Rear Seat Entertainment System with wireless headphones and A/V Inputs/ Exhaust Tip...Tow hitch w/ball mount...the ride is so smooth it is so comfortable and it is FAST i dont have any complaints. Yea it came out to about 66 or so i needed an suv and the LX is out of my price range and i was not impressed with the BMW or anything else. I got the Knights Armor Pearl Color oh and it has the runner boards that light up. I seriously love this vehicle and i can see myself in it for a long time! I do also have a Lexus Is250 2007 that is just sitting in the garage haha...the only thing i have to get used to is the gas mileage..but the performance makes up for it! At this price what other vehicles compare? NIce to meet you all my name is Josh

For 66K, the running boards better light up... Have any of the 2010 GX owners noticed any cost cutting like the 2010 RX owners have noticed. (ex. dash buttons not illuminated at night)

I have to add that i am a little pissed that i can't plug in my laptop or anything with a grounded plug for the kind of money i paid come on now why shouldn't it have a plug with a ground? I ended up having to buy a power inverter and the other crappy thing is there is only 1 cigarette adapter so how am i supposed to charge my cell phone and my laptop at the same time beings that the other plug is in the way back of the car? GRRR

What's really strange is, I believe the plug in the RX is grounded. Don't know why they wouldn't do the same in the new GX.

What did Lexus do with the 3rd row seats on the new GX? The old GX rear seats were horrible. They had no depth.

So it seems the conclusion is that an 09 would be much better than an 10 model?
Going to the dealership this week to check some out.

Although I like to stick to a Lexus, I might end up picking a new Sequoia.

The 09 GX was sold out several months ago.

I certainly agree. I think the outgoing GX was a better vehicle.

Why not a Toyota Land Cruiser? That fits right in there in size between a GX and a Sequoia...and you are getting a premium vehicle with the Toyota badge.

Ah that's a shame, I haven't really been looking much till last month.
Maybe I'll get lucky...

Thought about the Land Cruiser, but it's a little "too" bulky IMO.
The last model Land Cruiser I drove was an 07. Plus you're looking at around $6k over an GX and much over a Sequoia while not gaining that much more for your money.
