Does this unit have any advantages over the GROM VL2?

 

The Beat-Sonic unit is "just" a two small module wireless/wired CarPlay/Android Auto interface.

The Grom VL2 (and most other similar units and Tesla style screens) are android based computers that also incorporate CarPlay and Android Auto.

The Android units are larger, can be buggy requiring reboots, can require firmware updates, and, when working properly, can do much more that just CarPlay/Android Auto.
