Elapsed time???

Elapsed time???
What does this mean people? You see this "feature" on the mini windows on the Tach. What does 44:52 (for example) tell me?

I think it is just a built in timer, example and probably the main purpose is if you wanted to know how long a trip took.

44:52 is how long its been since it was last reset or reached 99:99.

You can reset by pushing in on the Enter toggle switch on the steering wheel.

I see. So, since we bought it in late Sept 2014 we have RUN the engine for about 53h:42m (and 4720 miles) as of TODAY.

Doubtful. That would be an average speed of 88 mph. It likely got reset somewhere along the way.

keep in mind it keeps track of idle time as well.
