Thanks to all the Forum participants, I've been lurking and now I'm jumping in.

I'm hooked on getting a GX for my next truck. I'm torn on getting something 2 years old with 25K miles on it vs getting one new. Looking at the deals you all get on new GX's, getting a used one for $48K-ish seems like a toss up.

I'm thinking a GX 460 Premium, Mark Levinson audio. No need for rear DVD. Black or Knights Armor. If I could get new for under $60K, that seems like a better play than going for used for $48K. Is my logic sound or am I missing something?

I got mine for a hair over $60k with the rear dvd so under $60k is doable but may take some shopping around. With a new one you get the 4 year/50k mile bumper to bumper warranty and you can usually get exactly what you want but you are paying for it. If you can get a 2011+ premium with low miles and exact color combo for $48k you could be saving $10k. If it is not a Lexus certified preowned and you want a warranty for another 3 years up to 100k after the factory warranty runs out it would be another $2k for that.

 

I got the 2012 premium without the rear seat entertainment system for a little less than $60K in December
