#MPG Discussion
Wow, I just did 300 km with 90% highway and only got 19 mpg! I have 5 people in the car and some luggage but no roof rack or anything else. Will be doing another 500 km soon so will see whether things change.
So, i took another road trip from NJ - Toronto (Mississauga ) - NJ. about 478 miles each way. made it to Mississauga in 1 tank. Cruise set at 60 MPH , traffic co operated really well. no lines at the US- Canada Border. At the hilly area past Binghamton,NY the MPG dropped to 24- 24.5 but it recovered once i entered PA.
Could not be happier !!!!!

60mph is quite a test of patience too
I usually set my cruise control at between 120-130 km/h depending on the speed limit.
haha Agree! 60 MPH is a test of patience. good thing is i can tolerate cars passing me.
So just completed a round trip from Toronto, ON to Washington DC. 1,725 km (1,072 miles) round trip and averaged only 12.8L/100km (18.3 MPG). I'd say about 5% of that was city bumper to bumper traffic and the other 95% were mostly highway. Mind you, highway isn't same as Interstate highway for a lot of those miles and there were a lot of elevation changes. Half of those miles was with the roof cross rails installed. There were five people and lots of luggage in the car.
I get that too in the morning... I can be in the slow lane at 70-75 and have cars in lanes to the left doing 85-90 in places.
The recommended tire pressures are located just inside the drivers door...on the B pillar. If it's 33 psi, moving to 34 or 35 will give you a more firm ride and might improve your mileage. It won't be much, but you might see an additional 0.5 to 1.0 mpg
Just make sure that you have a good tire pressure tool, the TPMS on the Lexus is pretty good, at least on the four I have owned. Make sure you are at least what the recommended pressure is...
