Hi,

I bought a low mileage (50k) 2015 GX 460 with electronic 3rd row seats earlier in the year. Unfortunately, I have 2 boys that are rough...on pretty much everything. We rarely use the 3rd row, but now the drivers side 3rd row is stuck in the down position. When you press the button to raise the seat, it just beeps. It does not sound like the motor tries to actuate. I tried switching the fuses with the working seat, but that did not solve anything. Also tried yanking on the seat while the wife presses the button, but could not get it to budge.

I am thinking the seat motor may be shot? I am not opposed to taking the seat out (and replacing it,) but am not sure that I can without getting the seat upright first. Anyone else run into this? Any thoughts or ideas?

I have the same year. When you press the with, do you hear 2 beeps? Have you tried both the rear door switch and the back switch? You must hold the switch the entire time to raise or stow the seats. The ignition needs to be either off or in P with ignition in the ON mode. Do you hear a warning buzzer? There is a way to reset that.

When I press the down button, it beeps twice, but does not sound like the motor engages (no clicking or anything.) When I press the up button, it makes one continuous sound (warning buzzer) (again, with no motor sounds). I have tried both sets of buttons, with the same result. So I dont think one of the switches is bad. The passenger side 3rd row works fine. I lifted the cover exposing the mechanism, but cannot see anything that would be blocking it. Same on the floorboard. I also unplugged the neutral to the battery for 10 minutes to reset everything, but that did nothing. Could it be a sensor? Not sure how I would test it.

Edit- The warning buzzer goes away when I press the down button. So I am assuming it is recognizing that it is fully in the down position.
