Default GX470: Front Shock? Quick Strut Assembly?

Hey all,
Really appreciate this info on here! I have read through as many of the threads on front shocks, but still feel like I just need to ask. I am 2nd owner on an 04 GX470 with about 180K miles. The rear air bags and shocks were replaced about 140K, but the front ones never have to my knowledge, so I would like to get that done, although I don't see any "leaking."

Basically, my mechanic has worked on Sequoias and 4Runners, but not GX's and asked if they make a "quick strut" for it that encompasses the shock, spring, mount kit?

From what I can understand, if I don't replace with OEM, I can save some money, but lose the sport/comfort switch controls. I don't think that is a game changer for me at all, my only concern is that I do NOT want any dash lights. Can someone suggest ALL of what I need and perhaps post a link?

Is there a "quick strut assembly" available? Is the Strutmasters front air suspension conversion kit, an option that would work? Or
this Duralo option on Amazon this Duralo option on Amazon
?
Do I only need the "shock absorber"
like these like these
for the front? Should I also purchase this
KYB Strut Mount Kit KYB Strut Mount Kit
?

If it isn't readily apparent, I am a TOTAL novice when it comes to navigating car repair, so any info on my question would be helpful to me, as I am trying to gather needed info +parts for my local mechanic. Thanks for any insight and links!

i used kyb sr4130 and sr4131. they bolted right in. the hardest part was removing the electronic pieces from the top of the oem assembly.

OP, why would you want to replace the front shock if you don't feel wrong with it?

Well, it looks like the pattern of wear on my tires seems to indicate that the front shocks aren't performing the way that they should, even thought they haven't started leaking.

How the wear pattern is shock relative? Should it be alignment relative?

Worn shocks can definitely result in strange tire wear patterns. Shocks can be worn out and not be "blown".

That being said, quickstruts often use cheaper springs with lower springrates, and the shocks are nothing special either. I'd use a better shock and the stock springs if it was me.

I wouldn't have a problem trusting KYB. Were you sure these could handle the 4.7's weight before buying? I haven't found a Lexus fitment from KYB for a GX anywhere yet.

Coilovers. Not struts.
Front suspension is dual A-arm.
