Default Need help... Front suspension question ***noob***

I recently lifted my GX with a rough country kit for an FJ cruiser. Now that its installed, what do I do with the harness that was attached to the top of the front strut?
After doing this mod, I am having doubts since reading up on how spacer lifts is not the right way to go.
Now I am considering going with the Bilstein 5100 route with OME coils. My next questions is, can I just swap in the bilsteins in the front and not have to change the back? The FJ cruiser kit came with lift coils and some rear shocks. So I am kind of hesitant to change those out as of now.
Any suggestions would be great..

Thanks

I have 5100's all around up one notch in front on my '06 4Runner.. it's good, on my GX I stuck with replacing all with OEM because the bags/shocks are controlled as a system.

I think I was able to trace the harness back and found a connector in the engine bay, I disconnected and taped off the connectors at that point.

The fronts can be replaced without messing with the rears. I can confirm spacers on the front are not the way to go on these trucks.
