Does anyone have experience with this system in particular?
I知 looking at purchasing this intake and a tuned cat back. But I知 curious if anyone has used this system?

I have it on my GX. Sounds good and feels like it pulls better up top.

Typical air intake works best at higher RPM, like the high reving Acura GSR integra that redlines around 8100 rpm. Really missed that car.

I致e had several small imports with mods to intake. Gain on HP is no more than 1-3% if you池e lucky.

As to the 4.7 v8, I致e find that any mod to intake would be more noise than actual performance, especially at lower RPM that most GX will spent most of its time. I致e had a 2003 Tundra with same motor. It sounded better but not sure on power. It certainly made me feel like I知 going faster.

Having said that, I知 thinking of swapping muffler to Flowmaster 44 or 40. Just wanted something that sounds obnoxious coming from a Lexus. I said to try it. While you池e at it, may want to consider catback exhaust or just muffler swap for the fun of it.

Just reset your expectation and you would be fine.

I was more more worried about quality... when I first started working on cars I was into lots of mods.. I realize the only way to get true power.. and not just move it around on the dyno graph... is forced induction or nitrous setups.

But im also looking at the tuned cat back by AFE also. And maybe a set of headers after that.

Here痴 the cat back.... this and the intake would make the Gx sound normal(ish) while idling and cruising... but give it a throaty and mean sound while accelerating.

So I think I値l grab a set. I致e just gotten bit by the modification bug again... it痴 been 15 years since I致e modified my vehicles. But since I知 a tech by trade. I just want quality over cheap noise.
