Cross drilled or slotted rotors are just a good way to chew up perfectly good pads on the GX.... the OEM rotors have more than enough stopping power.
If your “mechanic” said the cross drilled or slotted would improve your stopping power..... I would find a new mechanic.... even more so if he didn’t even know what brand you were going to use.
Just my 2 cents. Lol

Also, thank you for the Yatour advice. Have just installed it today. Works great!

"puddles" ?? Like in water on the road?
Technically ... yes. But the circumstances where they'd be of help are so rare that it's practically nonexistent. If it worries you, lightly apply the brakes before driving through puddles where you know you'll be stopping so that the pads are able to sweep the water away.
Honestly, if he's worried about puddles, he should be checking to see if the right-front splash guard is in place. It protects the alternator from getting splashed.

Thank you for the thought. My mechanic did not mention the stopping power but something about paddles that it would handle better on paddles or something like that. I'm still thinking which one to get.

That Yatour BT adapter sounds amazing for the price.. don’t you think?
I’ve heard other brands that cost $200 not have the sound quality that the $75 Yatour can reproduce.
Congrats on that update. Also... stick to basic pads and rotors. No need to put the extra stuff that will warp and chew up pads more quickly.

Thank you! Yeah, it works great! $75 is a decent price for that. I did not secure the cd changer cable with a tape though and now I worry if anything can happen because of that. Did you secure your cable. Mine just hangs there with other cables at the back of the radio Did not thought this through.
No... it’s contained and it’s just pushed back. I’m not worried at all. The unit holds it in place. You won’t have any issues.
