Alarm goes off intermittently- any ideas as to why?

I remember reading a while back that the door jamb close/open sensor on the rear barn door can go bad and send a false open signal, causing the alarm to go off. It's usually a pretty cheap and easy part to replace.

Another vote for a bad cargo door switch.

Mine used to do this but it wasn't the rear barn door, as much as it was the settings. Once I played with the alarm setting via Techstream, I was able to set the alarm the way I needed it to.
PS: The settings went crazy after a battery disconnect.

Hmm. It probably isn't related. Then again, check to see if the hazard button works, as well as the right/left turn signals as intended. On some vehicles, this is an indication that the hazards/intermittent button is on its way out. YMMV.

I vote for door switch
My car alarm would go off after the car had been parked. It was the rear door switch. The switches are very easy to remove. You probably could remove all 5 and see if that solves your problem. They do not have to be installed but you will lose your interior light when opening the door. . Of course you have the issue of determining which one. It tried a multi-meter but did not find that it told me anything which I expected by the nature of the problem. When the door is closed it is an open circuit and when opened it is a closed circuit. I suppose you could tape all five switches closed and check periodically for continuity. Chances of this working are pretty slim in my opinion. Maybe just buy a new one in put in the tailgate. That is the most likely culprit.

I'd replace the rear hatch sensor first, and keep the old one. If the problem persists, start changing the others one by one with the old ones until you find the culprit. It could be humidity related if it's an intermittent failure, so look for torn boots on the sensors or that kind of thing.

Open your rear door and see if your cargo lamp comes on... then push the item pictured in and out... see if the light works with each slow push and hold.... if it does, check the other 4 doors the same way.
This switch should work in which ever door isn’t activating the cargo lights... but make sure your cargo lights are set to “door” on their housings.
EDIT..... I’m not sure why this statement about a blinker is on here. Lol
Your blinker bulb most likely has a weak filament and needs to be replaced. I’d also clean the socket while when I replaced the bulb. There are plenty of threads on how to replace these bulbs.
