2007 GX470 Transfer Case Change
Greetings,
Does any one have the procedure for replacing the transfer case oil. Going to tackle the Difffs and also wanted to do the transfer case. Also, any fluid rec's for transfer case?? Thanks and have a great weekend!

Park on a level surface. If you're going to jack your GX up, use jack stands at all four corners so that it's level when in the air. This is so when you add fluid back in, the fill hole is in the correct orientation.
Remove the fill plug first. That way you'll know if it's stuck before draining all the fluid out the drain plug.
For fluid, use any good commercial-grade GL-5 75W-90 (Castrol, Mobil-1, etc). There is no need to spend extra on specialty fluids as long as you do the drain+fill on schedule (and aren't racing it or crossing mountain rivers, etc). Also have replacement crush-washers for the plugs (available at your dealer)
