Do they directly bolt in the same?
Any modification required?

Are 4th gen 4Runners and 120 FJ Cruisers the same for rear shocks? The FJC is a shortened frame 120 variant and comes with stock 32" tires I've read, but I'm not sure about any other differences. The 4Runner V8 AWD should be a direct bolt in for the GX470 as I understand it.

I looked up a 2006 FJ Cruiser rear right hand shock, part # 48530-80355, then searched that part # for any vehicles it occurred in, and there were no other matches. I looked up a 2006 4Runner V8 AWD, and there were 2 part #'s for non-XREAS shocks for the right rear, 48530-80300 & 48530-80372 (I don't know the difference), and both cross reference only to 4Runners. This doesn't mean they aren't cross compatible, just that they are spec'd differently some how.

FJs are very similar to the GX470s however there was a certain period where the lower mount changed so just an FYI, 4runners however fit from 03-08

I picked up the above part#
I hope to get my truck back on Tuesday

Replaced the entire rear axel and all control arms and bars
Ditched the air springs for some Arnott springs and replaced the old shocks with the KYBs. Everything will be undercoated so I don’t need to worrie about it again. Hopefully 😒
