WTB: Mark Levinson Front Door Speakers for 03 GX470
Since I am a newer member and do not have marketplace access, figured I'd try here...looking to buy a set of Mark Levinson front door speakers for my new-to-me '03. Looking for the 6x9 lower door speakers and the mid-bass (middle door) speakers. Anyone have any good used ones sitting around, before I buy new on eBay?

If it's the foam surround that's gone bad, that can be repaired. Look at simplyspeakers.com

Maybe a basic question, but how would I know if the foam was what was bad, or the whole speaker? Symptom is at certain frequencies when the soundstage is adjusted forward there’s a good deal of crackling going on.

You will have to visually inspect the speaker to be 100% certain. My right 6x9 just started cracking really bad. I ordered the foam from simplyspeakers.com. It was only around $30 and I'm betting that's the fix. It's a very common problem with our GX's.

You might could shine a bright flashlight through the speaker grill. But probably you'll need to remove the door panel to get a good look at it.
