Bought a set of 5100 (33-187174) and put them on the rear of my 08 GX. Stocks are dead. They are so tight the rubber cover is all folded over itself. It almost seems like the absolute max compression. Is this the right model? It took less than 10 mins to get the old one off and the new one on so I removed it until I can get some intel from anyone who might be using these. They were fitment for 08 4 runner.

MO-ron alert.....placed jack on axle instead of frame...maybe should have stopped after 3rd beer, 5100's fit like a glove, Drives MUCH better! Amazon 33-187174 for $79/unit to the door did the trick.

Are you all stock height?
Amazon says "2" lift" in the description. Is this a concern or the right/height are perfectly fine?
Is the ride better than stock?

Yes I am on my exact stock height. I went with this model to ensure I could go full high or full low on air bags and have shock make the full travel. Drove to the beach this week and WOW much better than my stock ride even when I bought it years ago. I should have put these on long ago especially for $79/unit with 10 min install. Only change I witnessed was top nut is now 19mm instead of 17mm on stock. Aside from that, on my rig its a much better ride, even wife and kids stated such. Bilstein 5100 (33-187174) is certainly a great option on 2008 GX.
