Radiator Replacement?

Is this the radiator you bought?

The special clamp isn’t an absolute necessity, but it sure does make it easier. The lower radiator hose clamp is difficult to get to. The videos I watched show removing the radiator with the lower hose still attached. I wasn’t able to remove it this way, as the fan shroud got in the way. I simply used my cool new tool to help remove the hose and got the radiator out easily after that. Had I pushed the issue, I probably could’ve removed the radiator with the lower hose on.
The tool is is great to have and is well worth $20.
I replaced the radiator on the 08 last year. It took several hours but I took my time. This is the clamp I used https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Trust me you do not need that tool. It's a waste of money. You can easily unclamp the upper hose and remove the radiator with the hose intact. There is plenty of clearance once you move all the hoses and radiator shroud aside.
Check out this video at the 6:50 mark . He unclamps the radiator from the upper hose. Even though he removed the fan, there is still clearance with it on.

I removed the lower hose, as I’m a very novice wrencher, and I like extra space or wiggle room when possible. Most of you guys (certainly Deeken) are far better than I at it. The tool would be good to have if you want to do heater hoses or any other little hose. I’m glad to have it in my toolbox now.

hose clamps only require slightly larger pliers but these help a lot..

Just be careful when removing them OFF the house since theres a lot of tension on the clamp.. mine went flying LOL throw a rag over it before releasing and you should be good,..
