New Owner - Buying a 1 owner 2006 GX 470 w/128K and always garaged - from CA

I installed the rain deflectors on a hot summer day...made the installation go smoother. Glass squeezed in better the first time, no retraction. Spray some silicone on the window tracks.

See if there is one on craigslist that is being parted out. There is one right now in Houston. I feel certain you could get them used and it would be considerably cheaper. Also, look on eBay. Might be able to get them there. Best!

You can order that part online for about $90-110. Make sure you match your paint code (I think Champagne is F0 but double-check) and get the correct left/right side.

Looking at the one that is still mounted, I don't see how it's fastened on. Perhaps it is a snap fit of some sort, something that will be evident when I look at the replacement and how it fits on the base.
Anyone know for sure how this piece is attached?

Roof Rack Front End Cap - Trailer hitch next
The front cover for the roof rack arrived today. I was surprised it's just a plastic molded part, that's painted in the body color. After looking at the part it was easy to see that it is a snap fit, two small tabs on either side, and one tab to the rear. It snapped into place easily and the paint is a perfect match, just like new....
I also ordered a frame mount trailer hitch and that will be delivered this week. After it's installed, with the electrical wiring for trailer lights, I'm good to go for a while.
I've been driving this GX now for a little over a week, and I'm so very pleased with it.
The only problem though, is that the brakes tend to lock up every-time I try to pass a gas station, and I have to fight the wheel to keep from driving up to the pump, whats that all about...
Seriously, I'm learning to keep my foot from jamming the pedal to the floor... What a nice ride, can't believe I didn't buy one sooner..
Every-time I start driving the GX I get the strongest urge for a road trip, one of these days I'll just keep going.... yea..

All the gas that goes into the GX is a good reason to get a rewards credit card... Almost $300 back on my Costco Visa last year - a lot of which was Costco gas...

Rust Belt Cars - Automatic Reject
Yes I know that many cars in the salt belt states are garaged during the times when salt is prevalent, (like mine), but buying a 1 owner from any of the sun states with a good car fax is a strong push towards no rust on the car.
So this is my 4th CA car, and as expected, it is totally rust free. I would rather pay the shipping on a rust free car, then deal with rust a few years done the line. It's a pay me now or later, I'd rather have the rust free car now.
I've also bought from Texas and Arizona, a chance of sunburned paint and pitted glass, but better than rust to deal with...
So this one was a 1 owner car, with a perfect car fax and records, a huge plus. Then my daughter and her husband lived 20 miles away, made it easy....
Got very lucky and feel this is one of my best purchases ever.. love this GX...

Your GX was sitting at the very tip of that trailer. Can't believe the guy made it all the way across the country without it falling off. If I were driving behind I'd be fearful of my life. One big bump and a near 3 ton car could crush me to death.

You can barely see, but there's straps through the wheels holding it on.
But yeah, the upper deck of the trailer will sway when it hits bumps.

I see the straps but those rear wheels are barely on that extended ramp. I'm surprised it made that 3k mile journey without an issue. But hey it safely made it to it's destination
