Mechanic in Austin, Tx area
Hi,
I have a 2008 GX with 108,000 miles and its time to do the timing belt & water pump replacements. Does anyone out there know of a mechanic in the Austin area that works on these vehicles without charging a arm and leg? I got a $1400 estimate from Land Cruiser Specialist (we also have a 99 LC), I think that may be a bit high. I'm considering Maund Toyota, they have worked on the Land Cruiser in the past and currently have a 10% coupon. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

$1400? Get a quote from Lexus of Austin (or Lakeway - same owners).
They were in that same price range when they did mine, and you'll know they used genuine parts.
