Default Pairing a Pixel phone to my new (to me) 05

Anyone had any success pairing the Google Pixel phone with the factory bluetooth on their GX? I just bought a 2005, and my phone doesn't seem to see the factory unit when I try and pair it.

Thank you. I'll just get to work on one of the aftermarket units then.

I bought a VAIS expecting to be disappointed and it's actually pretty sweet. I don't use mine for calls (so I don't have a mic) but the pairing is good once done.

EDIT: I also have a Pixel, as well. Works a treat with the VAIS (not sure I love Oreo, but that's another issue)

I'm debating over using the BT45-Toy or my current bluetooth headset and the VAIS. I'll figure something out. I just found an ipod interface cable that the previous owner installed. I may have an old ipod to 3.5mm adapter that will get me through the holiday while I figure out which way I want to go.

If you have a non nav unit, then aftermarket unit are easy, I now have a Kenwood DNX893s and love it

Unfortunately I have a NAV unit. I tried finding one without, but this checked every other box, so I went with it. It will only be a hassle until I get a functional streaming unit installed.
