There are a good amount of options from Gibson and others in Stainless steel (cat back) that will out last your car's life more than likely. There are some other options too.
Just go to your local exhaust shop and ask if they will cut out your gigantic factory muffler and weld in a flowmaster or equivalent you can also ask if they will remove the factory resonator too (in the back by the spare) .
I know the cat back set ups are anywhere from $550. to $900 or even more... an exhaust shop can be much less and have the same results if all you are after is a little more noise.
I am going to have a shop here in San Antonio cut our the factory muffler, install the flowmaster and I am thinking of exiting the exhaust in front of the passenger rear tire area... so it doesn't go over the rear axle or interfere with my aux fuel tank ideas in the spare tire area. Hope that is food for thought!
