Unhappy Trans fluid change, now CEL

Ok I'm puzzled. Maybe you's guys can help. Only owner. 05 GX470, 137,000 miles and first time to change fluid. Changed trans fluid with 9 quarts drained + flushed, cleaned mesh filter, new Toyota WS fluid, and now I'm getting cel and the other lights beaming at me. Now in limp mode. Did the battery disconnect and lights go off. Drives great, shifts great. However, kill engine and restart and here are the lights again and limp mode. Did I Forget something? Oh yes, I disconnected the hose at the radiator and flushed till pink. Checked fluid according to other guys here on this site with jumper, correct trans temp, etc. Thank you all for such a great site.

Get the codes read and let us know. It may be something unrelated.

How clogged was the meshed filter and is it worth dropping the pan to clean it? Asking since some choose to go the flush route and don't clean the filter.

Yes I flushed. Oh well the lights stopped coming on. Not sure what happened but I'm thinking maybe trans fluid needed to be circulated throughout. Worried the heck out of me because the manufacturer method of getting correct level can be confusing. However I did drain nine quarts and refilled with nine quarts so hopefully all is now well. Thanks for the replies.

Freddie- if you accurately measured 9 coming out, then refilled with9 you're fine. Transmissions have an acceptable range for fluid. Now if you're 1+ qt low, that may be a different story.
