2003 GX 470 Drive Shaft Crack? Surprise or known issue?
Our Lexus GX470 is a hand-me-down family car. Lots of flat freeway miles and some mountain. A crack in the drive line called for a replace, but it broke before the part came in. Are cracks like this common?
Course now the mechanic says it honked and craved the transfer case....but this is a known problem. The price tag to fix that hot mess is not attractive and seems a vigilant check and fluid refill might limp up to the next SUV. I need feedback.
