strange noise coming from under the car
gx 2006
this happens mostly when braking from a moderate to high speed. steps to reproduce: drive for a while, and gently-moderate squeeze the brakes. it feels like something bumps, metal on metal, or some sort of spring hits something.
it can be felt under your feet, like it comes from the middle of under the car (differential?)
once you brake, it will not happen again until you have reached a higher speed. going to mechanic, and I need ideas what to tell him to check.
the reason I think it might be some sort of diff problem, is that I had the center diff lock switch blinking this morning, and I started driving, and the knock came by itself.
any ideas appreciated

Binding driveshaft? Lots of info on this, I think there's even a sticky at the top of the forum.

The driveshaft clunk usually shows up either right when you slow to a stop, or when you lift your foot to switch to the accelerator. You may also notice harsh shifts from 1st to 2nd gear.
Is that what you're feeling?
