Front Skid Plate
Anyone know where I can get a front skid plate for my GX? They seem to be almost impossible to find. Do 4th gen 4Runner skids fit our GX?

Any chance these allow for the oil filter to be changed without removing the skid plate?

Well ****. Our GX gets driven offroad about 0% of the time, but I'd buy an aftermarket skid plate if it allowed for the oil filter to be changed with it in place.

I change my filter without removing the stock skid plate. You just need one of these and some ratchet extensions:

If you're paranoid about catching every little drop of oil, a little creativity might be required. I removed the idiotic drain plate, that thing weighs at least 10 pounds and does nothing except get in the way. Then just put a pan underneath wherever the oil starts dripping. You might be left with a couple of drops worth of oil on the skid plate, but if you care about that, you probably have bigger issues.

I'll probably end up going with RCI. It'll be the same price as ordering one through Lexus but look a lot nicer

My E55 "mark's it's territory", so I don't get real hung up on some drips hitting the ground, lol.
