A year and a half suspension compressor. I am bouncing back and forth between buying it or not. I am not having any issues with the suspension, I know air bags are a problem that have issues. What about the compressor itself. Would it be wise to buy and just have, if the price is right or a waste? I know the history about it. I see used ones for a few hundred to new for 12 hundred. I am debating the price and if I should have it for "just in case" . We are trying to figure a fair price. Thanks!

Honestly I wouldn't buy it period, unless you absolutely need the rear air suspension because you frequently tow heavy loads. Let's say it was only a few hundred, for that money you can get a good rear spring conversion kit and be done with troublesome air suspension all together. I'm not replacing any of my components if/when they fail.

Unfortunately I am one of those guys that wants to keep it all factory, if ,when it goes, original parts are going back on it. From what I have seen, the air bags go also the sensors. I know the system is expensive. I like it the way it is. Just my opinion, not saying anything bad about the conversion, I never rode in 1 with it done. I was just thinking about getting it for future issues. Thanks for the reply!!!!!

There are enough people doing spring conversions that you can probably find used OEM parts pretty much any time you feel like it.
