Default MAF Cleaning?

Hey All, so I was swapping out the old filters in the GX(cabin and engine) and decided it would probably be a good time to take some CRC to the maf sensor.

Pulling the maf out and it appears to be a bit different from my car.. Then I also see on the CRC can that most Lexus models are a Karman-Vortex maf and not to use it on them..

Is the GX's MAF one of these karman-vortex? Any write up on how to clean this particular model? I know these are pretty simple jobs but "If it isn't broke, don't fix it". I don't want to break the maf.

Maybe someone can look this up in the Factory Service Manual and see what the recommended cleaner is.

It's an odd looking sensor package, but it IS a standard MAF sensor, not a Karman-Vortex. The K-V sensors use a mirror that could be damaged if you spray it with cleaner, and they never need cleaning anyway due to their unique design.

You should not be cleaning the sensor if it's not giving you obvious problems, there is always some risk of damage from the pressure or from residues. But if you really want to, go for it.

And no toyota/lexus factory service manual ever recommends cleaning a maf sensor, so it won't be in there.
