Tire Pressure Sensors
I'm replacing the tires and wheels, and in the process am replacing the old tire pressure sensors. I have one valve that has difficulty taking air, and a constant low tire pressure indicator light on the dash. Light remains on regardless of tire pressure, as checked by a gauge.
My question is, when I replace the tire pressure sensors, is there a reset necessary, or any kind of calibration or set up for the new sensors?
Thank you in advance.

There is a procedure you have to follow to link a new sensor to the ecu module. It's in techstream, or a dealer/car shop can do it. I think I paid discount tire about $20 a sensor to replace all 5 when that happened to me.

dtaylor, I purchased my 09 GX 470 in Dec '16. All was great except the pesky tire light. I felt a little dumb when it turned out to be the spare, but I'm betting you've checked that too.

You're not the only one... I had the exact same thing happen a few months ago - took me a few days to figure out it was the spare...

It took me a while also to figure out it was the spare tire.
FWIW, it took about 14 years for the spare to get low enough to throw the light. I had never touched it since new.
