Default 2006 GX 470 rear suspension stuck in "n"

I have an 06 GX470 with 106k miles. It recently started lowering and raising in the rear while driving with a rough and bumpy ride and would be bottomed out in the morning once sitting overnight or sometimes normal. It is now bottomed out on rear suspension stops and the ahc green lamp on the dash is in "N" and will not move to hi or low when I push the button. The off lamp button works and is not blinking. There are no trouble lights. I checked the fuses and swapped ahc relay with a matching one of same part number. I inspected the rear sensors and linkage and all is connected and very clean. Any suggestions on where to start?

Either a leak in bags or compressor...or both. Rubber air bags are usually the culprit. They are rubber, they will dry up and crack, i.e. pin holes over time.

Thank you for your response. Is there a way to jump the compressor or test it?

If the compressor is running, you can hear it.

10 years old...probably toast. Maybe a leak in bags caused to to work overtime...Lexus can test it and look for leaks $$$$$

Disconnect the terminals from the air pump and apply 12v to them to see if it runs. If no bueno, time for a new pump (or do the suspension swap)

There is a certain speed that you cant raise or lower the suspension, I want to say 12mph for some reason. Are you aware of that?

Had same problem 04 GX470 I swapped out with Pro Comp 3" lifted suspension, Front and back. No more Air Bags, and no more electric shocks. I'm very happy with the ride, and the look, I can now fit 33" tires under.
Whole job cost me around 700 with all parts.
Airbags could have run me 1000 or more.

dbordin,
I'm thinking about doing the same thing on my truck. Have you purchased any other parts for the job besides the Pro Comp suspension ? If so, what parts? Can you tell me which kit you bought? Which vendor? I would like to get as much info as possible to accomplish the swap. Thanks in advance for the info.

Exclamation 2006 GX470 rear suspension bottoming out / AHC stuck in "N"

Hi. I had the same exact problem with my 2006 GX470 about a month ago. The problem went away after changing the height control sensors ($$$) although the bouncy ride symptom showed up couple of times although less severe. Three days ago, the same initial problem came back. stuck in "N" position regardless. The car is bottomed out, rides is very bouncy. I tried resetting the system as was suggested in this video, but it did not fix it.

I would greatly appreciate any comments or suggestions to help figure this out. Thanks
