Default New Interior Leather and Carpet

Well after 10 years with 3 kids my GX is still going strong, except for the interior. Have any of y'all had seat leather or carpet replaced. The dealer wants $6000 crazy

Any local auto upholstery shop should be able to do it for a fraction of that price and probably with better results. Do some research though and find a top quality shop, it's a GX after all. I've had them do custom boat interiors and stuff like that in the past and the work has been amazing for the price.

I recently purchased a 2004 Lexus GX that was in lets just say pretty rough shape. I had a detail shop really do a heck of a job cleaning it inside and out but that cleaning really brought to light that the front seats were cracking and peeling badly as were the armrests. A local leather shop that was recommended to me by the detail shops was able re-upholster the two front seats and armrests and also recondition the 2nd row seats as they were starting to show their age for around $1000. They also dies the front drivers doors armrests and the steering wheel's grey leather as it was coming off.

have any pics? I also have a near perfect steering wheel I'd sell if anyone needs it. I have a black piano Prado 120 wheel in mine now.

I have pics of how bad they looked beforehand but not afterwards. I will take some and post the before and after pics this week/weekend.

If the leather is good consider having them sprayed professionally. You'll be surprised how good they look for a few hundred dollars.

I would be interested in the steering wheel you have. Let me know.
